How to size your dog collar

 STANDARD COLLARS.

Our collars are measured from the buckle to the end of the leather, the full length of the collar.

To get the correct size for your dog there are two options.

Either measure the collar the dog is currently wearing from the buckle end to the hole it is worn on and add four inches.

Of course you can also measure the dogs neck and again add four inches.

So if your dogs neck measurement is 16”, add 4” and you should order 20” collar. If your dog is still growing then take the neck measurement and add 6” and this will then leave room for growth.

HALF CHECKS, SLIP COLLARS AND MARTINGALES (including hound collars styles)

When measuring your dog for one of these collars you have to bear in mind that it has to go over the dog’s head.

We will require two measurments. If your dog is still growing please be sure to let us know and we can allow for this.

A. The widest part of the head going over the ears.

B. The place were you would like the collar to sit on the dogs neck.

Please be sure to include accurate measurements as these items are made to order and cannot be exchanged if the wrong size.

If you are unsure about how to get the right size then please do not hesitate to contact us.
